My First INTA
It has been almost 48 hours since my return and I am still recovering (mostly my feet) from the INTA experience! Clearly there is no other equivalent to it in the IP world when there are 10,000 IP professionals from all over the world, all in one location. We exchanged cards, shared stories and created new memories, many of which are quite funny!
A Small World
In spite of the 10,000 attendees, INTA’s Annual Meeting really is a small world where one is bound to run into friends, colleagues and clients happy to be at this special event. The opportunities to network were tremendous. Our booth was hopping and we had fun talking with visitors about the fantastic Yerra story of how we have gone from 3 to almost 200 employees and 9 locations world-wide in 3 years! Another enjoyable moment was attending the Women in IP lunch, where I got to meet counterparts from around the world and discuss how women are shaping IP. At the Yerra party, I had the privilege and pleasure of greeting Yerra clients and supporters overlooking the beach and ocean. Indeed, my first INTA Annual Meeting was more than what I had expected and I will definitely go again, but next time I will bring along a pair of flats!
Some Big News
Yerra launched our new IP Magic Triangle Solution at the show. I was overwhelmed by the positive response from everyone we talked to! The challenge of bringing data and information together from IP, legal, and the business is one that every IP professional faces. In the past, the solution has been either very complex, very manual or both. Yerra’s IP Magic Triangle simplifies, automates, and speeds up the process to help companies understand the value of their portfolios and the risk lurking within them.
